Please Read With Care
Coaching Disclaimer
Grief coaching can be a steady source of support. It also has limits, and you deserve to know them clearly before we begin.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out right now. Call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911.
Coaching is different from therapy
Lisa Miller is a certified grief coach. In her coaching work she is not acting as a licensed therapist, counselor, psychologist, physician or other health care provider. Grief coaching does not diagnose, treat or cure any mental or physical health condition, and it is no substitute for care from a licensed professional.
If you are already working with a therapist, doctor or other provider, coaching can sit alongside that care. Please keep following their guidance, and talk with them before making changes to your treatment. If something comes up in our work that a licensed professional is better placed to help with, I'll tell you so.
Coaching is not crisis support
I'm not available around the clock, and I may not see messages right away. Please don't use the contact form, email or phone messages to reach me in an emergency. Use 988 or 911 instead.
The information on this website
The writing on this site, including the blog, shares general information and personal experience about grief. It isn't professional advice for your situation. Reading it, or contacting me through it, doesn't by itself create a coaching relationship. That begins only when we both agree to work together.
Every grief is different
Grief has no set path, and coaching comes with no promised outcome. What helps one person may not help another. Any words shared on this site from clients describe their own experience and aren't a guarantee of yours.
