Your Information
Privacy Policy
Reaching out about grief can mean sharing something tender. Here is plainly what happens to what you send me, and what this website does and doesn't collect.
Last updated: October 19, 2026
This policy covers the website at holdmyhandgriefcoaching.com, run by Lisa Miller of Hold My Hand Grief Coaching in Charlotte, NC. When it says "I" or "me", that's Lisa.
What I collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to type into a contact form:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, if you add it
- Whatever you write in your message
The form also notes which page you sent it from. If you email or call me directly, I receive the same kind of information that way.
What this website doesn't do
- It doesn't use cookies.
- It doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- Its fonts and images are stored on the site itself, so your browser doesn't contact Google or any other outside service just by visiting.
- The Facebook link is a plain link. Nothing from Facebook loads on these pages.
Because nothing here tracks you, the site treats every visitor the same way, including people whose browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal.
How your message reaches me
The contact form is delivered by a service called Web3Forms, which passes your message to my email inbox. Web3Forms handles your information under its own privacy policy. Under that policy, it may keep a copy of submissions for a period of time (currently up to three years) and may check them with spam-filtering services. Once your message arrives, it is stored with my email provider.
Like nearly every website, this one is served by a hosting company, which may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
How I use what you send
I use your information only to reply to you and, if we decide to work together, to arrange our sessions. I don't sell, rent or trade it, and I don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires me to. I don't have a mailing list, and I won't add you to one without asking.
Please share only what feels comfortable
Email isn't a fully private way to communicate, so you're welcome to keep your first note brief. We can talk about the rest on our complimentary first call. If you are in crisis, please don't wait for a reply: call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.
How long I keep it, and your choices
I keep messages for as long as I need them to stay in touch with you and to keep reasonable records. You can ask me at any time to see, correct or delete the information you've sent. Just email lisa@holdmyhandgriefcoaching.com and I'll take care of it.
If we work together
What you share in coaching sessions isn't covered by this website policy. How I handle it, and the limits of confidentiality, are set out in the coaching agreement we'll go through before we begin.
Children
This website is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me their information, please let me know and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how the site works changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
